Emma Elizabeth -Hello! I just had a quick question! I was wondering what lense you use for the pictures of your cats (and a lot of your other photos) that make that gorgeous blurry background! Please let me know! Thanks so much

mls0727 -Hi,
(Sorry for the late reply!). It depends where the pic was taken. Indoors of Alice & Finnegan are usually 50 1.4, 35 1.4, or 85 1.8. Outdoors, dogs at the dog park, horses in the country, is pretty much always my 70-200 f2.8. A bright prime lens is a great investment, that you can use indoors and out, provided you don’t need a lot of zoom. Thanks for writing! 😉ReplyCancel

Ashley Hunt -Hi! I was wondering what lense (Nikon) do you suggest most for pet, mainly dog, photography?ReplyCancel

mls0727 -Hi Ashley,
I don’t shoot with Nikon, so I don’t have any specific recommendation for you. A nice bright prime lens is always great for pet photography, provided you don’t need a zoom. You can see my response above to another question about lenses that I use, and research reviews for the Nikon versions. 😉ReplyCancel
